Dutch fundraising for Bonus Pastor Foundation
May 2011

The sponsored run of the girls’ club of Kamerik took place on the 15th of April. The girls (8-12 years old) asked their friends and family to sponsor their run for the BPF children camps. That same evening they ran around the church of Kamerik, a circuit of 350 meters. Some of them ran more then 10 times. They received a stamp on their run card, and in the week after the run they collected the money. The proceeds were €562,13. A fantastic result!

Twenty persons from the church community of Kamerik assembled about 6 o’clock in the morning of April the 23rd to have a walk in the meadows of Kamerik. One of the participants, who knows a lot about the area and its birds and the plants, served as a guide. Furthermore there was a lot of conversation among the participants. A delicious breakfast was served about 9 o'clock. After that we read from the Bible and sang songs. It was very nice. The yield was € 290.-

On the 21st of May the Dutch Reformed Church of Kamerik organised a “car washing day”. The proceeds were earmarked for the Bonus Pastor Foundation. While enjoying a cup of coffee or tea, the car was washed. The car wash was used extensively with around 75 cars being washed. At the end there was a result of 461 euro!
