Is it worth it to support us?
There is one overwhelming reason why it is worthwhile:
Your support, I believe, will help you, first of all. Let me explain. Richard Wurmbrand, back in the time of Communist dictatorships when they were still persecuting the people who were longing for freedom, once challenged the supporters of their organization, The Voice of the Martyrs: stop for a moment and think carefully and do not rush to give donations unless you checked your heart, are you full of love for these suffering people, are you ready to even suffer for Christ? Although I am not asking the same in proportion, yet still the same in essence: Please, do not support the mission of Bonus Pastor, unless you love the addicts and feel the pain that addicts are lost if they do not hear the Good News! The Good News of joyful deliverance even for those marginalized people. Do not support us, if you are not ready to serve with the fullness of thoughtful love. Do not give donations if you prefer to stay in your comfort zone and addicts in your neighborhood are not considered in love or if you are not ready to serve with a loving disposition and compassion. Ask yourself, if you were in the same financial circumstances as our staff at the moment, would you still continue to work with a cheerful and caring heart to help those who are underprivileged?
The three clans of the tribe of Levi were responsible to look after and carry the Ark of the Covenant and the holy Tabernacle, yet each clan had a different task to fulfill to achieve that common goal (See Num 3:25-38). The Gershonites were responsible for the care of the tabernacle and tent, its coverings, the curtain, etc. The Kohathites were responsible for the care of the ark and all the articles of the sanctuary, whereas the Merarites were appointed to take care of the frames of the tabernacle, its crossbars, posts, bases, all its equipment, and everything related to their use. None of the service could have been achieved if one clan had not fulfilled its task and so each one's role was crucial. There are responsibilities which only our staff can undertake to pursue the common goal with you of demonstrating a godly love toward those in need; and there are some other responsibilities only you are privileged to undertake. Have you ever been grateful that you are so privileged? Take your reward, the Bonus Pastor Mission is ready to help you to get your opportunity to be part of that solemn ministry, as we were also given this unique opportunity and privilege!

Why should you help the Bonus Pastor Foundation?
- Because the Foundation has the only Rehabilitation Centre in the country where both Romanians and the Hungarian-speaking minority can attend a therapy program in their own language.
- Because the Foundation provides a wide range of help: prevention, different therapy programs, rehabilitation and after-care.
- Because the Foundation offers personalized programs depending on the length of time one wants to spend with therapy, depending on age and on gender.
- Because the Foundation deals not only with the individual therapy of the addicts, but involves family members in the programs, too.
- Because it is effective, with a success rate of 70-78% among those who have completed the therapy (50-60% is the success rate among those who attended, but not completed the full therapy program).
- Because we do professional work. Our fully-trained staff use a combination of psychological and different therapeutic methods like group therapy, individual therapy and Alcoholics Anonymous support group therapy models. We maintain constant co-operation with partner organizations in the country and abroad and there is regular professional supervision.
- Because it is a Christian organization that is supported by the Transylvanian Reformed Church and other denominations.
- Because the Foundation gives help regardless of particular religious (or non-religous) background.
- Because it can help those who are not able to financially afford therapy, by the support the Foundation receives.
- Because hundreds of people’s lives have changed after therapy and family relationships have been restored.

Why should we help addicted people?
- Because they are not only to blame, but they are also the victims of the circumstances they are in.
- Because one can’t always change only by one's own effort, often help is also needed.
- Because the whole family breaks up if a positive change does not happen in the addict’s life.
- Because addiction is harmful not only for health, but it also lowers working capacity and the overall quality of life. Often it’s the cause of accidents at work or in traffic, to mention only some of the most serious problems.
- Because addiction is a problem which affects the whole society: 15% of the inhabitants of Transylvania suffer from some kind of addiction, regardless of their level of education (even well-educated intellectuals).
