What I always wished for was to let the world know that our life had changed, that we have found our Saviour. This happened in 2000, when we attended a short-term therapy program at the Bonus Pastor Foundation. I visited the Therapy Centre in Ozd for the first time in 2005. It had a great effect on me when on the Ozd road, after a bend, I first saw the granary, the Centre, then the castle and after that the tower of the church. These all come into your view in this order, check it next time you go there!
This was the land of Canaan for me, I thought, and I was filled up with peaceful happiness by this idea. And I was sure of this when I had to take my shoes off at the entrance of the Centre, because that is the rule. “This place is holy, which saves lives” – this was my first thought about it. “I have to take my sandals off, I have to clean myself from the dust, otherwise I’m not worthy to enter.” My soul was set free, I felt a wonderful joy and happiness already at the entrance, because the Lord allowed me to have a taste from the life and the miracles there.
My husband is working as a therapist at the Centre, sometimes he brings me with him when he is in charge there. I’m pleased by meeting the residents, talking with them, sharing the experiences of our changed life. I enjoy the cleanliness and the punctuality there and I also like their tasty meals which they cook themselves. It’s nice to see their changes, their kindness.
I wish strength and persistence for all the BPF staff members in this vocation, I wish you the blessing of God on your work and happiness in seeing the fruit of it. Thank-you that you exist!

We already knew from the Bonus Pastor Website how picturesque the landscape of Ozd is. We were happy to receive the proposal of Ildiko Molnar, Bonus Pastor staff, to accompany us in August while we visited the castle and the main building of the Foundation (the former Granary--now the Therapy Center) and its residents.
After we arrived, a nice young man showed us around the building, including the most important rooms and living areas. Laci was one of the oldest residents there. He showed us the kitchen and the canteen. He explained to us the major highlights of the daily program, how they organize the residents' daily tasks, who does the cooking, the washing, the gardening and so on. We saw the bedrooms, bathrooms – we were pleasantly surprised by the tidiness and cleanliness everywhere. The big common areas under the roof are used for the morning meetings, and they also have programs for meditation and praying there.
We had a lunch together with the residents and enjoyed their tasty cooking very much. We also toured the inside of the castle, guided by Laci, the same young man we had met when we arrived. We found out that there are preparations to continue the restoration of the castle. I’m sure this is a hard task, however every such attempt and effort is something to admire. It is an extraordinary thing to save something from the past and to re-acquainted present-day people with it.
We wish a lot of persistence and a successful work to all the staff of the Bonus Pastor Foundation!
Thank-you for inviting us to visit!
